Description I want to draw something simple, but I don't like how it looks like. I guess the photo is better with the dark areas and on the drawing it looks odd.

"Luminosity" is the word that comes to mind here: she almost seems to have a "glow" about her--in her beautiful eyes, from her skin and lips... I think it's gorgeous, keeping the focus on her stunning features. I agree with all the comments about the eyes--it's what we see first, with the gaze lifted and those lush lashes. I really like her nose, too: beautiful shading for shape and structure, showing the stark light, but not harshly. Gorgeous work!

Ein wirklich schΓΆnes Bild muss ich sagen, aber bei weitem nicht dein bestes Bild, finde ich... Mal abgesehen der Tatsache dass ich soo lange und fΓΌlle Wimpern eh nicht mag, finde ich die Haut und auch den Hintergrund ein bisschen detailarm und so. Die Lippen finde ich aber dennoch wirklich sehr gelungen!

Ja, ich weiß das es nicht mein bestes ist, als Photo wirkt es ganz anders als wenn man es zeichnet, dazu ist der scan auch noch schlecht. Naja, jedenfalls weiß ich das ich solche Fotovorlagen nicht mehr benutzen brauch. *g*

Ja schlechte Scans sind immer ziemlich doof, darΓΌber rege ich mich auch immer auf, aber auch ΓΌber meine Kamera, da mΓΆgen die Schatten dann vernΓΌnftig aussehen, aber dafΓΌr ists alles verschwommen -.-

Simple or not, I think it's lovely. One's eye is drawn immediately to her stunning eyes and lips. I think those eyelashes make the picture very dramatic, and it's nice that her lips are more "nude" rather then really dark. I think in this case, simple was necessary for this drawing to make her pop. Very nicely done, Marion!

Naja, ab und zu braucht man solche Bilder. Auch wenn sich dann herausstellt das es nicht immer die beste Wahl war, aber man hat wieder dazu gelernt.

Considering you wanted simple, and went for simple, I'd say you got simple, maybe that's what's throwing you off? It being too bare.
Anyways, I love it, the eyes are absolutely stunning, it's like they sparkle.
