Oh Wow Witchtopia, that is BEAUTIFUL! There's a great adaptation of the Lady of Shallot poem into a song called "Shallot" by Emilie Autumn, you should check it out.

I memorized this poem for my forensic's piece awhile back, and am happy to say I still remember it after so long! I felt like browsing for this sibject, and your art really jumped out at me. I'm absolutely stunned! Believe it or not, that's exactly how I pictured the scene! (Tennyson is one of my favorite poets of all time, too!)
Really great job! You should be proud of your accomplishments. ^.^

Ah, yes, I remember reading the Lady of Shallot. This is a nice-a truly great-rendering of this legend.

I can see how you like it...I did too.
Although, when I was reading Meg Cabot's novel "Avalon High" (I don't much desire her writing, but my sister has read of ton from that author and also the lure of the word "avalon" and Arthurian legend caught my intrigue), the main character disliked the poem because she was named after the Lady of Shallot. I remember rereading the line, thinking "Is she insane?!" (I had also done a project on the poem, and rather enjoyed it.)
~Then again, Cabot also depicted the epic Beowulf as dull and boring, which to me obviously isn't the case, not even close.
What do you think?

Well, Meg Cabot tends to write stereotypically. Some are fantasy, well many, actually. Others are mysteries and, well...she wrote the Princess Diaries, also.
Melanie sounds like such a great name. Be proud!
My is Sarah, the Hebrew name for "Princess."

Wonderful! I just studied this in class and I can't help but hear Anne of Green Gables reciting this (good ole Canadian classics). The image is beautiful and you've captured the dreamlike quality of the piece in this artwork. I really love it.
