I actually drew the rough sketch during the flight xDD at 12-3 am lol Recently I’ve been picking colours beforehand to see whether they work or not, I’m really bad at picking colours on the spot xD
Soft light did all the work I’d usually use overlay but that made it come on too strong??

Aaaa I’m glad it comes off as painterly!! I switched over to IbisPaint and the brushes... aren’t exactly accurate to what they say it is so it was hard to give it that painterly look xD

I've never been on a flight but it takes abt 10 hours to travel to the furthest state and sitting in a cramped car for the entire duration with heavy traffic isn't really ideal to draw xDD

Ooo yea I recently noticed that too! I'm usually using overlay or multiply but I started checking what the other effects look like and soft light is gorgeoussss
It looks quite painterly dw!! 

BUT MY SUMMARY LOOKS TOO EMPTY/PLAIN THO- IDK Y BUT I'M NOT THAT SATISFIED XDD

The plane ended up being really noisy haha, we got Ice cream at 2 AM xDD I kinda just sketched the body, and then watched some movies and listened to music haha

Overlay is convenient for shading over patterns, you don’t have to change colour each time you shade a different part of it :’D

It’s 2018 now— I remember my teacher got mad at me last year because when we write the date always wrote xx.xx.16 I actually wrote that on some of my artwork too... It takes forever for to adjust to the next year xD

I’m absolutely horrible with backgrounds and still am— when I try draw 3D background they look too flat and 2D xDD

I still haven’t made it ;; I was sick these past days (Why do I have to be sick on new years cri) and my dad gave powdered medicine and it tastes like crap-

XD my teacher is like the punctuation police— I think. I would’ve failed the test if she didn’t understand that I was still adjusting lol

XD that is genius— I should try I have time hue hue hue (I don’t think I’m smart enough to model a flipping mansion with a garden etc tho XD) You would be able to get all of them from different angles— When I (attempt to) draw a 3Dish background I like to use some sort of template (The one on IbisPaint lol) it basically is a cube that you can modify to different angles and it can help when you’re drawing a room lol

I had them earlier LOL they weren’t too bad, just really strong?? I think it cause I pored he entire packet in and just a little bit of water because I have a dinky cup xD

Ooo I see! A friend of mine taught me smth called a 2-point perspective or whatever so I use that and boi, the amount of erasing I had to do was so overwhelming, I stopped xD

Ikr, it’s like, was that really a year? It felt like a day to me.

It’d be super gr8 to get angles correct too aaa You know those doll things people use to modify the pose and use as a reference? I got an app like that recently and It’s gr88 you can even use it as a reference from different angles. The only problem is that you need to pay to get the female model, which mean I have to pose it and then try to convert the reference into female anatomy LOL which is why my anatomy will still be wonky x,D, although ?the male models I’ll be useful for male anatomy cause I know nothing about it

I’m always told to rub out as I draw, but I tend to forget to because I used to press real hard (I used 2B) so it was hard to see what I needed to rub out and what I needed to keep LOL I use HB for light sketching and use 2B for the neat sketch now xD

I remembered back last year during my orientation, I had to introduce myself to the juniors so I took the mic, stood in front of the hall and confidently said, "Hi, my name's Athirah, I'm fourteen years old." and paused right there cuz everyone was like, EHHHH
And then I started counting my fingers and I shouted, "wAIT, I'M NINETEEN, OH MY GOD I DIDN'T REALISE"

Ooo I've seen one of those apps! I had a friend who used it too, but I think there was both male and female figures for free, idk what the name of the program was xD

I usually rub out everything and redraw it again //shot, and it's counterproductive imo cuz I waste a lot of time XD
2B's my only type of lead I use, tbh-- I have a bad habit of pressing hardly on the paper if I'm lining lolol

Yesterday I went to the amusement park, and you had to be over 140cm to go on 90% of the roller coasters, and some of them you had to be over a certain age xD
I think they were suspecting me xDD at one ride I was already at the front of the line when I found out I was underage for the ride by like 4 months.

(I was born on April 27, same as Usui and there was this ask corner where Usui was asked whether he was born in the pervert month and he said yes so Im born in the pervert month xDD)

I was like “Shet how do I get out of this line, I’m already at the front GODDAMMIT” But in China you are already considered 9 months old from the time you are born, so I guess it was okay?

My backup plan was to say I was a short af 14 yr old LOL

I feel like the models arent always 100% anatomically correct cause I’m pretty sure you cant stick your arm through your waist lol

When sketching, I tend to do everything to the finest detail and press heavily but then it never ends up showing //cries LOL I have really crappy erasers and use printing paper so it’s not the best method xD

Its rather hard to use 2B lightly- I tend to use it for the clean sketch and end up pressing too hard without realising it xD

Im scared when lining really small things so I tend to press lightly and the lines always end up shaky xD I thought it was solved when I got a really thin one, but I lost my 0.25 pen lol

Modelling the model itself is fine for me- but once you make a model, you gotta make a skeleton for it and bind it together and fix up the skin to make sure it doesnt rip or stretch in weird places aND THAT FIXING UP PART IS TORTURE AAAA

aidgfdng losing a pen is a nightmare for me ;-;
Don't you just hate it when you're sketching and your hands suddenly spazzes out and ruin everything :'D

I've only ever been to amusement parks twice my entire life- I always suppress my screams even though I know I could/it looks/feels like I could die. I never screamed except once---- There was a ride where you're literally 100m in the air, I was sitting at the front seat and I could see everything xD. It was terrifying cause they stop the thing for about 5 seconds so they could take a photo at the top so I'm left staring at the ground and then you go straight down xD

Ikr, I lost it when I read it. I was like 'Usui WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT, I'M NOT A PERVERT.' Well, that was during my denial phase mk, I probably can't live without some really good vocaloid producers that make some rather... suggestive stuff. Like dang why are the darkest/dirtiest songs always the catchiest xD . I'm can tolerate 15+ but 18+ isn't my thing (I'm not even allowed to see it xDD)

Ya, but it technically still doesn't count as your official age so it doesn't really matter outside of China so it's not really something I can use to my advantage.

I think it can help with basic poses and angles but other than that, I think that a real live model is better. It's hard to find the correct pose at the right angle though ;;

Omg yes, and then you cry in a corner and wonder why---- I'm terrible at keeping my wrist sill and moving my arm for long lines, it just doesn't work aaa, I had art today, and we were doing scratching with a toothpick over a layer of black paint to make cool patterns- it's fun But my art teacher said "Also, if you're gonna do anime or Naruto on this, don't. It'll take too long.' Idk whether the teacher hated anime or just didn't want us taking too long, but I think I'll be a closet otaku until I find out xD
There's actually an anime club at my school, I don't think I'll join that though because I hear all you do is go on yt and search up how to draw anime and draw it xD

If you’re born between May and December or something you have to start in year 0 (Basically an extra year whereas we already have an extra year added on since we leave school at year 13 so we are all the same age as other kids)

The intermediate at my school isn’t even intermediate? It’s from year 7-10 and is labeled as intermediate but the name of the school is ‘(Insert suburb here) Junior high school’ so idk haha ;; We also use the word year instead of grade probably to differentiate the systems haha

Idk if I appear that way but it’s probably cause I kept talking about graduation and the fact that my next school wasn’t college so it would basically be high school next xD I remember a friend forgot my age and one day she asked for my age one day and her reaction was like “hOLY are u kidding”

A couple of days ago we had this thing where you had to bring some items that tells people about yourself and I brought my watercolor sketchbook, my class screamed when they saw it (I showed them something I have yet to post here lol) and I’m just like “PLEASE CHILL, I DONT WANT ATTENTION” Someone suggested we sell my artwork to fund the trip xD

I have low self esteem on my own artwork so I kinda hid in the corner until everything died down xD
