Ohhh, hey, may I ask who is Katia Managan?
Besides this, it looks very simple but yet quite expressive. x)

She is from a comic series based on oblivion.
I believe it was called "Prequel"

The lines are very smooth and so is the shading. I am not knowledgable about how shell shading works, so unfortunately I don't have anything to add on that subject. For a critique: her thumb knuckle, though slim in this position still has a bump and should be defined/pronounced.
similar example:
please excuse my gross hand x3
The shoulder blade feels a little strange, although I cannot say exactly what is wrong with it.

yeah my hands are crap, mainly because I don't draw them so much.
The shoulder blade might be to close towards her arm, I was trying to foreshorten it that-a-ways but decided it wasn't too noticeable.

It's one of the harder aspects, definitely.
I use the coil technique mainly to figure it out and also cylinders for legs and arms

Im trying to use the graph method thing where you pick an eyelevel point and then draw lines and circles...I am smart and know art terms. However, it really hasnt helped me all that much....maybe a little with the envirenmental aspect, not su much the subject. My biggest challenge right now is creating the illusion of something being far or close without it just looking like messed up anatomy lol. There is deffinitely a trick to it, i just have to figure it out. Doing so has been straining on my wrist.

I tried doing each one in as few strokes as possible. Using my arm for each section. if I fucked up a line, i could control Z and try again.

For the paper sketch I just have it on a desk and I'm over it just drawing. When digital the screen is at a 30 degree angle in front of me and I draw on that.
