Ahh I drew this when AXN was first showing Saiyuki and hoho... That was probably 4-5 years ago when I was still in high school. *runs around screaming "I was young!!!! Wah ah ah ah ah!!!"* I think the original Saiyuki was the best + I watched it like 3 times + I'll watch it again. Guh, Reload + Gunbound was terrible... I hated Saiyuki because the anime sequels were so dissapointing.Minekura draws all her boys + girls with droopy eyes, and I find that hard to adapt to and after screwing up a couple of tries drawing the Saiyuki boys (Goku in particular + I admit I screwed him up miserably), I finally got my first piece of Sanzo (who looks like Minekura style Sanzo) based on freehand. I had to get his proportions right before attempting to throw him in action in full body view, monk outfit, scrolls, guns + all.

yessss i like it too~ i agree with ya that the animation doesn't meet the standards... you could see that they weren't putting effort into managing it properly especially the art. *shudders*

Iron: XD I was watching a trailer for Reload and the enemies fired some rocks and they randomly burst into flame in the air.... it was so ceap! It made me laugh.... ^-^
*nods vigourously.* Goku is totally the cutest. He's cute all the time XD..... O.o And I still haven't done fan art for him.

I used to fangirl over the first Saiyuki too~ O_O I even bought the original gold VCD set, no translations, just to drool over it~ ZOMG~~~ |D;;;
But yours came out nice~ 8D

YAHHH!!! Becuz all tis time I drew girls wif big eyes and guys wif em... normal eyes? ahaha.
I bought the DVDs but then I was so horrified when Reload came out, cuz the quality of the anime was bad and the art deteriorated!!! Nyahhh!!!!

Summore when I was drawing... I kept went on like "Eh not droopy enuf..." *rub rub rub* a couple of times...
Then I realize the eyes that Minekura draws are at lease drooping 25-30ΒΊ down...
