Where were you for my college break ups,
telling me boys suck and I should focus on my studies anyway?
Where were you when my clunker of a car broke down,
Advising me against a purple truck with electrical issues?
Where were you when I cowered alone on my bed,
saying a baby will be fun but you're still shooting the guy
that knocked me up?
You weren't there when that baby was born,
or when that guy proposed.
You weren't there when shit hit the fan,
and I learned I had no where to run.
You weren't there to see my fall,
and on my own picked myself back up.
