Description Sometimes when she was angry her dress turned a bright red.  We could be in the middle of no where, some woods maybe, me in my contented trot and she walking beside me.  Each in our own little worlds, and yet in the same world.  And suddenly her dress would be a brilliant red and I couldn't help but stare.  The look in her eyes would get steely, and even I would shrink a little.  I!  Rain!  I fear nothing, and yet she... She could kill me.
And so it was today, we happened to be traveling through swamp.  The muddy water was up to my chest and I was panting slightly as I pressed onward.  She, of course, was never out of breath.  Nor did that damn dress of hers ever get wet or dirty unless she allowed it to.  Mosquitoes hurt my ears and bit at my nose.  I'm pretty sure there were a few leeches stuck to my legs - Poor fuckers.  My blood was so poisoned by vile thought and wretched evil they would die within hours.  It was just though, they were gorging themselves like sinful little pigs and would die for it.  I didn't care.
I glanced at her, having to look up a little as I was a mere wolf - normal sized, that is.  My tongue was lolling in my exertion, one ear flopped over a little.  I could look so damn cute when I tried.  I rarely tried.  Her dress was already bright red, and she was looking dead ahead with eyes that struck fear into me.  I wondered what she was thinking about.  Truth be told, I could have easily snuck in and read her thoughts.  But I have something like respect for this girl.
My stare did not go un-noticed, for she soon turned to look at me, stopping in her tracks.  A little annoyed, I stopped too, but not without a little kick in the water to knock an already dead leech off my leg.
"Yes Rain?"  God, even her voice was steely.  I looked away, afraid.  Hesitantly, I walked forward again.
"Just wondering why your dress is red is all," my ears flickered a little, daring to continue.  "Going hunting?"
She laughed, but it was not the friendly kind of laughter you want to leap on someone with and lick their face over.  My ears pinned back a little.
"Yeah," she growled, switching to my language. "I'm hunting, Rain.  I'm looking for a fine kill this time around."
Now, I'm always up for a kill - especially a fine kill (perhaps a little venison cordonbleu.)  But this girl... Sometimes she gets this crazy streak and I can tell the craziness is upon her because her dress turns a deeper red.  A blood red.  If I looked hard enough, I'm sure I'd see a trail of blood in the water from the damn thing.  But I don't want to look.

A beast within, and some water to wash away that silly outer layer.
