Description How easy and blissfully ignorant of you, to generalise without looking at one in the eye

---------------------
My response to chapter 619.

Certain aspects of the chapter makes my skin crawl. That, and the fact that the genocide (especially after the truth behind the genocide was known) has not been condemned outright in the manga.

Arghhhhhh Sasuke feels make me only more dissapointeddddd

Anyway, decided to go for a more realistic look this time. As usual, frontal portraits - oh my horror. I do think I am improving though! Could use some critique on how the piece feels as a whole. At numerous times I thought the piece as too simple, but thought more elements would take away the focus from Sasuke's face. Do the colours (or the lack of it) feel balanced? Can this piece be improved in any way?

More Uchiha sketching here I come

Heheee, that surprised me... I looked at your pic, and quickly read the description: "How easy and blissfully ignorant of you, to generalise without looking at one in the eye", and then I realised that I hadn't looked at the eyes very much. Just a micro second or so.
Did you intend to draw the focus away from Sasuke's eyes? For me, the focus was clearly on his body and the cracks.

Glad you looked into his eyes XD

I wanted the focus to be on the eyes, so what you said is very reassuring!

Thank youuuuuuu

Ooh, your stuff is always so beautifully done, angsty but with a him of melancholy too. Beautiful!

Thank you so much for the beautiful comment!

Sometimes I think my works are a little bit too serious and angsty though. Looking at other artists I feel like I should draw for the sake of portraying Sasuke himself, instead of portraying what I see from him and what I think he feels. Sometimes too I feel that what I see does not translate well into what the viewer (of my works) see.

I think the last point will improve more with practice tho

It's a more realistic portrayal, for me. That you can see the visual representation of the wear and tear Sasuke's had to endure (especially in the anime/manga's 'stony silence' of his character) and that drew me to your stuff more. It's like looking at him from the inside-out, if that makes sense to you. It's all subjective obviously, so I think if you're drawing what YOU feel FROM him, then it will be fine!

NOT TRASH. In no friggin' way!!

I think Sasuke is intimidated in this very moment, he feels helpless,
because he realised how pointless Itachi´s sacrifice was and whatever he might say,
all odds are against him. Unlike Naruto, he doesn´t know his place in the world anymore,
he lost everything. I was wondering, why he didn´t slap that sorry ass of Tobirama, but yeah...
=Seiikatsu once told me, that we could compare the manga´s readers' point of view
with the way Sasuke´s percieve things. Konoha being a lovely place at first, and now...
My point is: Sasuke is having all the feels we readers are experiencing now. WE JUST CAN'T! *shot*
That was nonsense.

I adore this portrait of him here.
He looks exhausted and lost in my opinion.
Love the natural colors. <333
You should be more confident in your unique approach to characters, dear.
It´s beyond awesomeness.
LOVE IT!!!

But...but- Sasuke and the Uchiha in general are seen as trash in Konoha, and it saddens me a lot

And I am so glad to know that you know this piece is partly about Tobirama!

Thank youuuuuu <3

Ah, and thank you so much for the encouragement. I feel that sometimes I take too much liberty with Sasuke (physically), people might not see past that and thus do not focus on what I really want them to focus on in my works: my thoughts behind Sasuke, and how Sasuke feels. Your words make me more confident, and I'll try my best to improve!
