Master Green was sent by Nightmare to kill King Dedede for non-payment of debt. Noticing Escargoon was gone, he quickly took his job, and proved to be more competent than Escargoon. However, after many days, Master Green decided that King Dedede was too mean to him, and so he electrocuted him and booted him out of the castle so that he could have it for himself. Master Green then ordered a pair of guardian monsters called Butch and Blade (cousins of Masher) to protect the castle. King Dedede was furious, so he banded together with the citizens of Cappytown to get his castle back. Butch and Blade proved to be tough opponents for Kirby, but he then became Sword Kirby and defeated them. Master Green then conceded and gave King Dedede his castle back, but not before King Dedede bashed him with his hammer into the sky and he landed near Nauty, who was waterboarding the thugs who clobbered Escargoon. Nauty told Master Green about being friends with Jingly, and so they both became best friends.
