Description My first playthrough, I was already completely immersed with the game before even leaving the vault (which is pretty impressive for something that's basically the tutorial level), so stepping out into that hot sun I got this amazing rush of "where do I go from here?" and "all of this is mine now"

Character is Asia Kong.

see... I didn't like fall out 3 but everyone else seems to love it. I think its just the endless poo-coloured landscape.

I think it's an acquired taste. It's like the only game I actually found the brown and bloom APPROPRIATE and not just "our graphics engine can't handle all these colors, so we'll just make everything as unsaturated as possible".

*reminiscing* ahh...the first minute of leaving "paradise"...and then my screen was spammed with the DLC alerts -_-; Game of the Year Edition is great though, even if it's laggy as hell

Ah, I didn't have any of that because I was playing the normal version. Ended up buying all of the add-ons separately. Bethesda has way too much of my money now, rofl.

Had to get the fancy Collector's Edition. Kinda wish I had gotten the Survival instead, though. I need a pipboy ;_; I such am a sucker for games that come with goodies.

What amazing detail! And traditionally rendered as well! Simply stunning!

That's greatly detailed, especially the background :3

I thought you'd just drawn over a picture of real rock, but it looks very realistic.

Thank you.

That's the watercolor. I kept trying to do this picture in photoshop and could not get a nice texture that would pop without looking fake. So I used watercolors and salt to create the rocks, and then colored over it with pencil to defined the shape and texture a bit more.

I know what you mean, it's hard to get good texture with digital stuff (at least in my experience, which is limited).

But that's a neat medium combination, I haven't heard of using salt but looks like it works :3

There's a lot of neat stuff you can do with watercolor like that.
