Description
This particular piece was kinda rocking my brain for a while since I really wanted to start on making landscape paintings so I thought 'The Mill' would be quite the start for practice. Some things are left out for the sake of time like the two people by the shore, the man in the boat near the shore as well, and some creepy blurred guy on the road behind the bush near the bridge. However I did add some foreground features like the tree nearest to the POV to take up some negative space but not much else. I am also very happy with how the sky turned out since it looked fairly complex at first since its a 6/7 o'clock timed painting when the sun is just below the horizon but I think it turned out in a good way.
