First off--I have to say these little rating things don't at all express how I feel about this deviation. Personally, I love it. If nothing else, I adore how you drew the head and neck, especially the ears. The rabbit-like head fused with a canine body evokes some mysterious, fantastical quality.
I also love the bold, strong outline. Though it's not for everyone, the bold look certainly made this picture excellent--made even better by that you only used flat colours. Had you used round shades, it would not match so well.
The anatomy--clearly stylised--is also a point I admire. It is in no way realistically accurate, but then again, who cares? This isn't even a real creature. I love the stylised anatomy, speaking for myself. The tiny little dainty paws are simply perfect. ^^
Now time for critique.
The colours--flashy and seemingly random--indeed, seem random. (I win points for repetition!) They seem like colours that you chose on the spot (which, it is not a bad thing if you did), but it leaves me with a very, "How generic" feeling. Again, personally, I love the purple and orange combination, but overall, it is just too trite, this use of blatantly unnatural colours. Too many people have done this before and people just get tired of it. (Many don't!)
The tail is also quite strange. I feel the tail is just poorly drawn--maybe tacked on as a last minute thing. It hardly matches in style (you outline each individual leaf of the tail, and not just a half detailed outline which would have matched)and it hardly shows consistency in anatomic style. There is no hinted perspective in the tail, not to mention the "many tails" idea is also quite overused. Also, on the style on the tail, you used a leaf/fur-like lining technique to create bristly texture--not consistent. Try keeping one style at a time.
Last thing I want to say: the orange stripe to the left (viewing from...the viewer)--it shows a blatant lack of concern for perspective and 3D-ness. This may seem like an anal point (because of the flat colours), but the idea of flat colours is not two dimensionality--it's simplicity. That orange stripe defies all mental understandings of 3D and it looks like your just slapped it on for symmetricity. Take more time, next time, in curving the colour around the fluff to make it seem more real.
Oh, one last thing (I lied). The wing--the one, single wing. I like the idea of it, and, I admit, have tried it myself, and I don't think I could say I pulled it off as well as you did. However, I still have some advice. Keep the line thickness the same as with the rest of your picture, and try to make the outlines smoother. This looks like you drew a (very nice looking) scribble with your left hand and called it a day.
IN SUMMARY, many of my critics are very harsh, and they hardly reflect the appreciation I have of this piece. I am against the banal colours and design of this character, but I love the style, simplicity, and anatomy. No detail is left unnoticed! [My favourite part second only to the ears and the neck is the eye. And maybe also the tiny little non-existent nose--it gives the face a cute yet mysterious look.]
Anyhow, don't be discouraged by my harsh words, because you should know that I only critique pictures that I like the most. ^^

The tail wasn't last minute or anything but the small lines on it were. See his tail is made up of a bunch of feathers like a peacock. So just one tail, not multiple ^_-
That one orange stripe you are speaking of actually was a last minute thing because I wasn't looking at a ref when I finished and I had to upload it again and add the stripe ><
The colours are all my favs actually and I thought I should make something of me. I tried to stay away from clashings and black/white bases and I have to admit that I failed at the clashing. I will be redo his colour scheme, meanin you can say goodbye to the green colours <3

I think this critiques system on dA is amazing (too bad it's restricted to premium!! My membership was a gift!)--I usually leave critiques in comment form. And they are always way too long. Haha.
Yup yup! I think changing colour scheme might be beneficial. ^^ And as for a peacock tail, make it more fanlike and ginormous? c: OH! And you ought to use the peacock eye of the feather--that would make it distinctive. But. I don't think you want a peacock tail--just peacock LIKE tail. Hm. /thinking outloud.
Ahaa, anyhow. Yes, I try to critique whenever I like a pic enough that I simply must critique!! /ironic. But I hope you can critique for me as well!
