Wow, that's a very beautiful painting, and I love the backstory behind it as well! Looks like you're already a natural artist, and your skill will just keep on improving! I love the colors and the details in this painting, and the fact that it;'s traditional is even better! I myself am only recently getting into backgrounds, and I'm 20, so you doing background so well at 14 is awesome!
And I love the expressions on the Elves' faces; that is a nicely handsome Elven King.

Wonderful work! I am astounded that you are only 14. Don't give it up no matter what anyone says.

My only recommendation is look at your favorite artists and their WIPS (Works In Progress). It may help you to see their processes and then be able to make your own more refined.

A few I personally admire, respect and recommend are:

If you decide to try any of their styles, just credit them or talk to them first though I can tell you from personal experience, Yoshi, Sarah and Piccola are amazingly sweet. I haven't spoken much with Nadezha or Jan but they seem really nice too.

I am surprised that you love my art works~ And I looked at your gallery, your paintings are sooooooo amazing! You used watercolor so well! I have to say that I still have problem with watercolor but you nailed it! It is my pleasure to know you~

Gosh, for a 14-year-old it's more than amazing! I'm even a liiiittle bit envious -  you paint better than me  . Jokes aside, the picture is really great, especially the man. You've captured his movements and character perfectly. The woman is a bit static compared to him, her figure is a bit... stiff, the same applies to the kid a bit as well  (but who am I to criticize since some of my figures are like chopped out of solid wood  ). The thing I like most is the background - simply marvelous. You showed the depth perfectly.

A quick question: Are you planning to do something art-related when you finish school, 'cause I looked at your gallery, and it's definitely worth a try?
