Here's a possible scene from The Guardian-Verse in which Link encounters Tam Tam attempting to sneak into Hyrule Castle, for what reason you ask? Evidently the artifact that is sacred to his people was stolen....again and he's followed the trail ever since, said trail leading him straight to Hyrule Castle and Castletown.

So of course it would appear that a fight between the two warriors is about to happen before the eventual team up to get the artifact back and fight whoever it was that stole said artifact.

So what triggered this crossover? In The Guardian-Verse Tam Tam is a Hylian although he never grew up in Hyrule, it should be noted that this does take place in The Modern Age. Some Samurai Shodown characters will appear in the modern age and some will appear in the ancient past. Figured I'd throw that out there.
