Boy did making this pic bring back memories of sitting in front of the TV as a kid and watching Yu-Gi-Oh along with Pokemon and other awesome cartoons, ah the days when Cartoons were actually Good and not Propaganda machines.
Also yes I am aware of the bad dubbing 4Kids did to The Anime they had lined up, don't care, still like em.
Gonna have to get around to making a pic with Dark Magician Girl at some point.

If nothing else the likes of both Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh exposed many young people like myself growing up during that time who never heard of anime beforehand for the very first time. That is the only thanks 4Kids will ever get from me since they lead me into seeking out far superior animated seriesΒ from Japan such as Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Samurai X.Β While I don't play the card game anymore, I still watch videos over on Youtube made by entertaining people who keep me updated on the state of this card series. Dark Magician will always continue to be supported by Konami since he is the ace monster of one Yugi Moto. At least nowadays compared to way when he was first released, it is possible to make a pretty solid deck with this legendary monster card.

I can relate, I still have my old dueling deck for when I use to play against my brother, though I kinda stopped watching Yugioh after I was halfway through 5Ds. I didn't get back to playing because Konami keeps adding all new game mechanics to the game with each season and it's getting really complicated.

I never played the games or got any of the toys, they never had any action figures of the characters so I never bothered, wasn't interested in card games, still not interested really aaaand turn based games are...boring. XP
