Description Pokeball history extends nearly as far back as the foundation of Isshu itself, infact, proposals and research had begun at Silph's labs long before that pokémon nation was founded. At the time present-day Johto and Kanto were a large reserve used for experimentation.

Silph Co. was founded in 2030 by tech entrepreneur Rydner Silph, from Europe. Silph was the inherent owner of several multi-national corporations, and the mastermind behind the Pokeball.
In several labs throughout the European Union and the U.S, Silph and his cohorts spent decades researching and developing the technology that could break physical objects down into basic particles of matter and 'digitally' code and store them. Silph encountered difficulty attracting investors and his work was costly in terms of finances, energy and resources. Inspired by Albert Einstein, Rydner Silph worked tirelessly to find a way to efficiently break down objects.

In 2018, Silph and his league of mad scientists, disgraced for controversial works, began conducting research on animals. His reports were exposed to the world by Wiki Leaks, and drew severe criticism and prosecution in international courts.

In 2024, Silph had gained as much support from disgraced scientists and corporations who took interest in his visions, and had retreated to the five islands in the south Pacific to establish what would become the Silph Corporation.

The islands, Hoenn, Johto, Kanto, Sinnoh, and Unova, were home to a small population of people seeking to establish their own country separate from the global community,  and had already spent decades struggling to restore long lost ecosystems that they would depend on for resources. In exchange for an eternal welcome, Silph made and delivered his promise to restore natural order to these islands.

The five islands were once lush with rainforests of temperate climates, until the 1950's when the islands were used as nuclear test sites by the U.S. For 80 years, the islands remained barren, and life's comeback was slow. When humans set foot on the islands again, radioactive grasslands were what remained of the decimated ecosystems.

Armed with the technology and finances, Silph set out to re-wild the islands with new species of plants and animals that could absorb and contain the nuclear radiation, which had already dropped below dangerous levels. Silph brought in a legion of fanatical scientists obsessed with modifying the genetic codes of plants and animals who were rejected by the scientific community. While normal animals were imported from the U.S, Australia, and New Zealand, Silph began churning out the roughly 700 species of animals who would become the Pokémon.

The term Pokémon was applied to these animal species as they were also among the first test subjects for the prototype Pokéballs. The term was eventually extended to other animals and humans when Pokéballs would later be used to capture them as well.

Prior to the development of the first successful Pokeball, the people of Isshu maintained a low-profile lifestyle, and kept to agriculture and other industries that required little energy use. Solar panels, wind turbines and water turbines provided much of the islands' energy. The first nuclear power plant was built underground in the mountains of Johto-Kanto.

Until the release of the first Pokeball, Silph maintained a relatively low profile and was only known for restoring ecosystems on the islands in the surrounding waters. Their first major publicly known project was the construction of artificial reefs that blocked off ship access to the islands.

Pokémon species were created and introduced to the secret island of Kensku, which Silph forbade any outsiders. A fully genetically modified ecosystem of plants and these animals flourished in and outside of the massive biodomes that covered the island. After several generations when these animals and beings' genes had stabilized, they were released onto several smaller islands surrounding the big five that were designated test sites. Eventually, these animals were released in small numbers onto the five main islands, each island designated for certain species.

The well known man-made animal, Pikachu (Muris fulmen) , was the first to flourish on Johto-Kanto, and drove other natural animals to the fringes of the island. Over the decades, more animals were released and established themselves, permanently altering the islands' ecosystems. By 2090, these 700 species had established themselves. The more intelligent beings produced in Sylph's labs began learning fast and passing their knowledge and way of life from generation to generation.

The Saltatar species (Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, Gallade) had already established home settlements, and were among the first pokémon to show civilized traits.

With the new ecosystems flourishing into the 22nd century, the human population flourished as well, due to stringent population controls, and a semi-socialist government was established, and was well connected to the island nation's biggest contributor, Sylph.

Isshu was founded on July 9, 2040, with its capital in Castelia City, now the largest city in Isshu. Administration of the island nation was divided up between the regional bodies representing each island, from their own capital city:

Hoenn: Rustboro
Johto: Goldenrod
Kanto: Saffron
Sinnoh: Jubelife
Unova: Opelucid

The Isshuan government implemented internal border crossings, dividing the islands into municipal regions, to further maintain population control.

When Silph Co. released the first pokeball, the company embarked on the agenda to re-focus the nation's way of life on this groundbreaking technological marvel, and embarked on a campaign promoting the capturing and training of animals. As the pokeball industry expanded, and other industrial sectors expanded on the use of Pokéballs, the dark legacy of its development was kept well hidden from the public. The company ensured it's policy to keeping the pokeball's development a permanent secret, while the government embarked on its campaign to impose the value system that ignores animal and human rights, and popularizes the controversial pokémon-trainer institution and ensure pokémon training became an acceptable way of life in Isshu.

In 2088, a bill was introduced by the government, renaming Isshu as the Pokémon Nation.

This is GREAT for 's Radical Riting. Just do these two things first: change "Issue" in the last line to "Isshu," and remove the title from the paper; DA does that for you. If you do, I'll accept it.

So how exactly does this apply to the victorian era of Pokemon History?
It's nice, but I don't think it'd fit the whole medieval genre.

Very very nice. You, unlike the majority of DA, have a lot of potential to develop something worth reading.

KEEP IT UP!
