Her pride was gone, her wrists were burned,
emptied of blood and picking out urns

Before the sanity, before the wait,
she'd wait for death or live on hate

"Damned be the people, damned be the sky,
damned be the gods for keeping me alive."

She'd growl and she'd laze, an ugly beast.
She didn't change until esteem hit it's least

It started to look better, a gradual thing,
the morning weren't as harsh for chances they'd bring

it had worked well, better than planned

But then she got hit, under her heart,
the blood pumped out, her world became snark

Her vision left again, she had nowhere to run.
They couldn't help her, she couldn't have won

Once again, it receded, to show her the water,
they had opened their eyes, but her hope still totters
