It's a shame how some things are left to rot with the memories melted into the walls of past and yet the stain is left behind for the eye to behold the once was as the now ponders-

nicely captured!

Very nice... reminds me of some of my more recent work... have you ever noticed that your clothes, camera bag, car interior, etc. take on the smell of rotten wood when photographing old buildings? I noticed that with the old railroad depot and collapsed barn I've photographed, and a couple barns I've been in to look at old cars parked inside.

My stuff usually gets ripped or torn from walking thru berry vines or other prickly underbrush...I have to remember to carry a machete with me next time...

I haven't usually had that problem, but have often fallen in mud, rolled my hyperreflexive ankles in gopher holes and on uneven ground and fallen down, been chased by dogs, and been accused of casing properties or stealing things (once, one of the people who accused me of casing publicly called me a burglar).

Thankfully, my camera bag and camera are fairly small and go around my neck, and I don't generally wear baggy or loose clothing.

You really have some fun on your shoots...I think I'll stick to the berry vines and sharp underbrush...

I definitely do... and occasionally none of the photos I take are worth submitting to deviantART, like the ones I took yesterday.
