Welcome, Vectorinos, to a trip to the 50s - the "Atlas Era" of the Marvel Universe:

In the 1950s, Dr. Eric Sinkovitz was a scientist who somehow cobbled together a special suit that could give someone ice-based superpowers. Well, mostly, it was just kinda sitting there in his lab because it needed some finishing touches he couldn't figure out. He was kind of a stupid scientist, really. All that was true until a shape-changing alien Skrull, on Earth to combat the heroic 3-D Man, came around. Oh, did we mention this Skrull took to form of then Vice President, Richard Milhouse Nixon? Making him the 2nd evilest person to ever look like Dick Nixon.

Faux-Nixon helped Sinkovitz complete his super-suit. And once he donned and activated it, he became Cold Warrior, the Sub-Zero Man! And when this Counterfeit Tricky Dick ordered him to defeat 3-D Man, who he was told was a dirty pinko commie operative, Cold Warrior didn't think twice (like we said, he was stupid).

Cold Warrior tracked 3-D Man down and...well, 3-D Man kicked his butt super quick, if we're being honest. Maybe wearing refrigerator pants and doing ZERO super-guy training whatsoever (all on the word of a space chameleon that looked like a blob fish in a tacky suit) and fighting a guy 3 times as fast and strong as any normal man was a poor choice. Sinkovitz was dumped unceremoniously in the ocean for his trouble.

Later, The Yellow Claw recruited Cold Warrior and other lame 50s villains to help him kidnap President Eisenhower. No word on if there was any awkward discussions about Nixon.
