After yet another argument with her family, kestrel walks of in hopes of being alone for a while. After a lengthy walk she comes across a frozen lake where she sits and gazes at her reflection. As she thinks over the day a small unimportant thing her mother once said drifts through her mind you have your fathers eyes
was it his DNA that gave rise to her anger or was it that he had left them, or could it fall purely on her? The only way she would ever know was if she one day found him, but she barley knew anything beyond the fact he had a golden pelt, and eyes like hers. Perhaps she could see if her mother could describe him more? But until then she had other issues to focus upon, one of which being her family that was know falling apart.
