Momma and Baby eating grubs in my yard today.I can't believe how close Momma let me get before she attacked me.

We have these critters all over! lol they are such beautiful birds, though I've never seen one THIS small..usually by the time we see them, they're a bit taller than this. They're also kind of mean/cruel and I notice all the other birds move out of their way! lol Oh sorry, great shot of the Sandhills

Whats crazy is they came up to me. I was kneeling down about 30feet from them and the baby comes sprinting towards me. This was cute, however, when momma did the same i was unnerved a little.
In this group there was a Mom, Dad, and three chicks. Something I have never seen before.

Very cute, awesome photo. These guys seem to always go in my neighbors yard, and not knowing my neighbors that well, they'd probably think I was nuts if I came chasing birds in their yard with a camera.
