this is really spectacular work! Not a lot of people do traditional art these days, so it always makes me happy to see someone who can still do art by hand without those fancy-pants computer programs to help them along. At first I thought it was a computer made piece designed to look like a painting, but then i read the tag and comment and my jaw dropped. Love the work. Job well done!

This is amazing. I never would have guessed crayon, honestly I thought this was like, acrylic paint, the detail and work is so good. There really aren't words to describe that this is just so impressive.

This is an amazing piece. Β I don't know how anyone can draw so precisely with crayon, but this is just amazing.
Cloudsdale looks excellent, with the fluffy white clouds and the majestic buildings peaking through. Β You have your own style here that really enhances this piece - the show will go for hard, cartoony outlines, with everything opaque. Β You instead have many very soft boundaries and gradients in the clouds, with mixing between the white of the lit cloud and the blues of edges and shadows. Β The clouds feel very wispy. Β The use of transparent rainbows is very interesting - this is just how rainbows are in real life, just very slightly colorations over whatever is behind them, tenuously there and magical in their appearance.
Rainbow Dash looks pretty awesome in this style. Β The legs and wings look realistic and are very detailed. Β She looks good with a more horse-like muzzle. Β The shading on her is excellent, with that highlight along the back of her legs and on the edges of her wings, and that dark shadow on her chest - everything is amazing. Β I think I prefer her show mane style, but this looks more like what a horse with rainbow hair would look like, and works well with everything else.
I am sure this is even more amazing with the original, but alas, this picture will have to do for us.
This is an amazing work of art, impressive and wondrous. Β This style is fascinating, and I would encourage you to explore some more with it.

This is a fantastic piece! The colors all seem to blend together to make this wonderful dream-like landscape. And it's like Rainbow is a figure in this dream. Awesome, awesome work. (Made even more awesome by the fact that it's traditional!)
