I genuinely wish they would explore this guys past with his wife more. What they do touch upon is great and it really does give you good insight to the character, but at the same time they never mention how they met, why they fell for each other or anything. I'd love to see more of that.

Especially since, when you take everything that's happened to him into account, Byakuya is easily one of (if not the most) complex characters in the entire show. He really deserves his own Turn Back the Pendulum arc or even maybe a spin-off. There's just so much to work with.

It's not just you. I cosplayed Byakuya at a con once, and the number of fangirls I met was absolutely insane. Apparently, in a con of over 10,000 people, I was the ONLY Byakuya Kuchiki. Dear lord, one of them nearly crushed me in a hug.
