I am somewhat quoting some lines from Oyasumi Punpun, from Aiko herself, I just thought that Chara would be saying it in a time like this, especially towards Asriel about their promise to each other, I find it in character for the evil character.
True love of course can be taken as not just romance, but also friendship and absolute pure feelings towards a family member, but for me, I find it cute no matter how anyone portrays their relationship.

I only posted the one drawing I like the most out of all that comic post, of course, number 2 was also what I like but ah, oh well.
You guys ship this also? I do, It's hard to find drawings of them together, well in a romantic sense. (Holding hands and all.)

I ship it but I see it as a tragic one-sided romance where Asriel grew attached to Chara while not knowing (or is in denial?) that Chara will never be fully mutual. In my interpretation, Chara is very messed up on the inside, too focused on getting back at his own kind to return and appreciate Asriel's affection.

Awesome! I nailed it. Besides, that's how I've always perceived their relationship based on what the game says. I also feel Asriel is in denial about Chara not liking them as much as he likes Chara due to him saying Chara wasn't that great of a friend after you talk to him post-pacificist ending.

I have yet to check out this game but it certainly looks very interesting with a cast of intriguing characters. ^^ The art I've seen so far seems promising. X) This looks very cute but I've by now picked up that Chara wasn't exactly what one would call "cute". Or at least I hope I'm correct in this assumption. ;w; Really great picture, I love it!
