Description This is the banner of Romania, under the Patriotic Vanguard Party in "The Crowned Heads Tremble." This nation is part of the nations of influence under the National Soviet Empire (NSE) and the greater Eurasian People's Alliance (EPA) at large. In 1932, Romania underwent a civil war between the fascist Iron Guard and Romanian Communist Party. These groups were adamantly opposed to National Bolshevism, which bothered the Russians having a potential threat at their border. In 1936, the Iron Guard, Communist Party and all their allies were exhausted, and Romania itself became occupied by Russian "peacekeepers." The occupation would bring out leaders of both the former Iron Guard and Communists more akin to National Bolshevism and create a pro-Moscow party to push the country forward - the Patriotic Vanguards and their Red Legionaries. Resistance would come from left-overs of the reactionary Iron Guard, which conducted a guerilla campaign, but crushed a few years later. During the Second Great War, Romania would ally with the Russians, Germans and others in the struggle to take over and establish a new order on Europe.

The Romanians have been approached by the Russians and Balkans to become fully part of their respective unions, but the Romanians have stood their ground and joined neither. Indeed, the Romanians have gained the respect of their superior neighbours expressing their independence, still being a satellite. The reign of Tovarăşe Director, Nicolae Ceausescu, from 1965 to 1995 saw large gains in military build-up and infrastructure projects, and as well as population growth through his Decree #770. Like Iberia and Totalist Britain, religion has been co-opted by the state to best represent its new nationalist values and general system. However, despite earlier success, his policies would see the country go into deep debt and face a crisis in the early 1990s. The Romanian populace became frustrating with worsening conditions and riots broke out, being ruthlessly crushed by authorities. In 1995, Ceausescu was forced into retirement by Moscow, who more-or-less took reigns upon Romania to get it back into shape. The Ceausescu Family would be exiled to their dachas in Russia and a new government would be appointed in Bucharest.

Over the years since, the Romanian economy has recovered and things in general have been stabilized, but the country remains among the lowest-performing within the EPA. Despite his flaws and misgivings, Ceausescu is still deeply-mourned by many across Romania, even if just publicly. For indeed, the Securitate still goes on strong and keeps a watchful eye on Romania's productivity and potential dissidents and general criminals threatening social order.
