I really like the balance between the different media and their textures in this one particularly. The way that the application of them seems completely different, the paste on the background has a solid carved delineation, which the ink seems to grow out, first by paralleling the lines, then bursting from that as circles, a contrasting form, and even at its thickest has a certain matte thinness. It reminds me in a way of music, like you have several different instruments playing here, each working at the melody in a different by complimentary way.

i like this one the best so far i think. i like the raised textures for one thing. looks like you
used a palette knife. and i love the things you can do with a palette knife. (i'm still talking about art btw. heh.)
but i like the addition of the linework. the shapes. it's almost steadman-like. to me, anyway.
