Second smallest dragonfly I've come across, but also one of the most skittish.

Oh, if only I could get shots like this. This photograph is amazing. My jaw dropped the moment I let my eyes on it. Such detail is awe-inspiring. The colors go so well together, and with the touch of lime hue in those eyes, fantastic.

Alas, National Geographic don't allow digital submissions on a regular basis. I've actually looked it up in the past!
But they do have a new "YourShot" thing going on, which I think I'll keep an eye on. Each issue they've got a new theme and they allow 5000 submissions, out of which two will be selected for publication in the magazine and an extra three for the website. Sounds pretty spiffy.
