They're actually really not all that creepy. For the most part they might just sit there and sway for a while, before deciding its time to walk away.

I actually didn't even notice them at first, but apparently I wasn't the only one watching the scene in Scandalous unfold. Not all that long after I took that photo, this mantis tried to eat the happy couple.

When you are engaged in 'scandalous activities' sometimes one is completely unaware of what is going on around one... but being someone's dinner is just too much oblivion..

Luckily (for them) they got away.
I found myself in a position where I was torn between being glad that they got away, and annoyed that I missed the opportunity to photograph a mantis eating a butterfly.
