So, after a few busy days, I finally have the joy to comment on this piece.
The one thing, which first comes to my eyes are... their eyes. The reflection and form are natural and also the anatomy is well done. Their shape is the same of a real life wolf, including a very thick underpelt for the winter. And despite the accident with gold paint, I see nothing of it.
The landscape is also pretty well done and accurate. Some single plants, which struggle against the snow are certainly adding something, which fights the emptiness of the winter.

I don't know winter sunset looks like
but I think it needs a slight orange on the wolves' fur especially at the second wolf.
