I Liked it that you didnt follow the 'babe-like female demon' clichΓͺ. She looks ugly, tough and wicked, for real. Really nice.
By the way, does she only have an eye? Or is it that the smokey stuff is covering it?

Creating a sense of light from behind can be difficult and tends to obscure details in your subject. It can be awesome for dramatic effect, but considering how much detail is in the line art you may want to opt for something with light from the front to really bring out those forms.
Plan your light, then tackle your rendering with gusto. That's my suggestion.
I know you'll do the piece justice.

Hmm, point well taken and thank you for the critique. I'll prolly keep the colours and try a different lighting scheme. Was hoping the back lighting would work.

very nice for a WIP, although the only thing I can see that doesnt lokk quite right is the that she seems to be holding the Khukuri/Gurkah knife, what ever you want to call it, partly on the actual blade rather than on the handle.
Also, is there a back story as to how she got hold of the Katana's? as if she took them from fallen enemies then my next comment goes right out of the window, but the handles look a little too short compared to her hands for bespoke fitted weapons.
Other than that it looks very nice. ^^
