what do you study?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-05-15 11:38:17 +0000 UTC]

Let see...apart from the core subjects like Mathematics,
English and language, I also study Biology, Chemistry and
Psychology!

How about you? Or have you finished school?

oh awesome! My dad is a molecular biologist

I took courses from a bunch of different places, I think the best was an artist apprenticeship. I really want to study animation and illustration but I can't afford those schools, they are ridiculously expensive >:

Wow! Sounds so interesting~

Aww, overpricing is fun apparently. Luckily there are many
tutorials around? Practise is always an option!

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-05-20 22:18:20 +0000 UTC]

its not D: its just standing in front of a canvas drawing for four hours straight while listening to music. its cool to see your work getting better tho! thats pretty satisfying (tho its takes very long)

oh yeah thank google for internet tutorials, I have learned so much from them! but really nothing compares to having a master artist tell you exactly what you are doing wrong and how to improve, thats really worth it, alas we must make do with what we can

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-05-21 09:04:19 +0000 UTC]

I look back to doodles that I have drawn 1 month ago
and I ( ' U ')/[]
to ( - n -)_

Hmm..do you think it takes a professional to point out how
to improve etc. and give critiques or can normal people do the
same thing except without the master advice?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-05-21 21:42:26 +0000 UTC]

I do the exact same thing, I get so embarrassed by old work, I keep a stack of papers that I doodle on and I can't look at my old work, its seriously painful D: I want to get to the point where I am really solid on with my skills and old work won't be such an embarrassment

yeah man, Regular people can tell you that the drawing looks off 'maybe its the eyes? the mouth?' the the master I studied under was INCREDIBLE he could tell me exactly what was wrong, he was amazing! not only that but he taught me a lot of fantastic techniques and Helped me tremendously.  He taught me what took him 10 years to learn by him self in just a couple of months. It was a great experience.

are you planning to be a scientist BTW?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-05-22 09:52:41 +0000 UTC]

Though it isn't all bad because you can see how you improved
and is an indication that you are still improving so much more!
Yes, me too! In a few more years~ If I choose to draw more~

Are you still with the master? He sounds really experienced in
arts! (> U <) One day, you can pass those techniques on as well
when you become a master! ( ' U ')b That sounds like a lot of
improvement ' O ')

I am actually struggling to choose what to do with my future ; O ;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-05-28 03:38:39 +0000 UTC]

I just want to be improving so much faster I'm trying damn it, I'm trying.

No, I quit that program, it was fantastic but I have other things I am trying to concentrate on plus its not really the kind of art I want to study for 5 years, tho I'm really glad I went to that school. the dudes name is jeff hein BTW if you were curious. My dream for the distant future is to build a science/art school, that would be the best, and pass on my knowledge to the next generation of creators

oh man, thats really scary, How so are you struggling, do you not know what you want to study?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-05-29 12:02:26 +0000 UTC]

If you look back at something you drew a few days ago and think
"Gosh, I can't believe I thought that was good" then you most certainly
are improving at a rapid race!

I see, are the pictures realistic type? I searched up your master and lots
of paintings came up~ Really cool but different to the type of style you
work in.

Haha, not just teaching at the school but building one and teaching!
Sounds wonderful! To keep the knowledge going ; U *touched

I guess since I have chosen my subjects, I have a certain path and
direction I am moving in but there are so many occupations to choose
from. I wouldn't know what to choose from ; O ; Actually, there is an
excursion coming up where we will get to explore our career pathways!
I hope the path will become clearer from there ' U ')

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-05-29 22:26:44 +0000 UTC]

Yeah its a corse for drawing hyper realistic, thats why I'm not sticking with the course to graduate from it, I want to study illustration and animation and this just isnt that. tho its also great becuase even the cartoony-est of cartoonists study from real life and can draw realistically so its great to learn no matter what kind of art you do.

I think its important to pass down our skills when we are older and better, the artist guy is teaching his kids how to draw, and his 10 year old can draw SO realistically! I wish I had parents who could draw and teach me

whats the subject you have chosen? and yeah, it seems every subject that is taught, even if you know you want to go into something there are so many branches of that subject and prospective jobs, its hard to know what exactly you want to do.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-06-01 10:04:26 +0000 UTC]

That's true, it would definitely be a big help!

Yes, that is pretty cool but then again what if it were a skill
the children do not want to learn? For example your father
wants to teach you business but you don't like it! It can be
hard for children and parents to like the same things~ But
then again, when adults do something cool, children feel really
inspired watching, that probably happened with Jeff!

Subjects? XD I believe you asked a few comments up! Apart
from core subjects, I also learn Chemistry, Biology and Psychology!

I remember 1 year ago when I met my first biology teacher,
she seemed to think everyone of us wanted to be doctors and
she said, "Let me tell you something. No one in this room will
become a doctor". ; U

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-06-03 22:11:00 +0000 UTC]

oh totally, some parents can be pretty pushy, but My when I was a kid I took a bunch of different classes to see what I liked, didn't stick with most but stuck to some and I had parents who were encouraging and not controlling so it was great. and the girl seemed to love drawing so I don't think its bad, and jeff is a really nice guy, If I were her I would absolutely take advantage of my dads awesome skills since I was always drawing.

but those are a bunch of subjects, isn't there one that you really want to focus on? I suppose you can mix chem bio and psych but what would be your major?

haha why not doctors?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-06-07 04:31:01 +0000 UTC]

Ah, that's cool, seems like you had a good idea of what
you wanted in life = U

Ha, yeah, drawing is really fun if you can kind of draw a
bit. Knowing how to draw really realistic when you're a kid
seems really cool. During primary school, a lot of what we
did aside from school work was mostly arts and crafts~

Perhaps biology, right now for me, it's just as long as I can
have a decent job to support family~ What is a major?

She said being a doctor is hard and many people just want
to be doctors so they can make a lot of money. I think it
also requires you to be compassionate and really smart since
there are lots of content you have to remember. Though, no
one actually physically said they wanted to be one. I think the
teacher was just assuming too much!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-06-10 23:42:22 +0000 UTC]

A major is a subject of study that you pursue in university. Biology is pretty cool, Learning how life works, animals cells and all their complexity. Yeah I think there are people who people become doctors because it is prestigious and good for making money, tho I would hope not most of them D:

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-06-11 10:58:18 +0000 UTC]

I see so you can have multiple majors? Yes, the theory
and content of how things work is really cute interesting!
Perhaps there will be many new inventions and discovery
during my lifetime!

A lot of people definitely though it does cost a lot of time
to finally start (I won't even imagine how much money that
costs ; O ; ) Just today my friend said she had a really good
dentist but he left for another bigger city because apparently
he wants to make a lot of money!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-06-11 20:31:20 +0000 UTC]

And maybe you will be making those discoveries and getting two majors looks like a pain, (depending on what you are studying) it can be a ton of work.

haha, oh man, those greedy dentists! I keep getting really bad dentists, I need to find a new one D: I had a friend who joined the military to get a full university scholarship to become a doctor, and she said it was great because once she graduates she becomes a military doctor for a couple of years so she graduates with a  job waiting for her AND she doesn't have to pay for school! what a great idea.

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-06-14 10:48:25 +0000 UTC]

Haha, in your dreams I will discover a cure-all medicine XD
So people normally only have one? Are there minors as well?

Then I'm pretty lucky I have a good one What do you mean
they are bad?

Wow! That's amazing, unemployment is a pretty big problem,
you friend really thought things through!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-06-20 23:07:40 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, people normally get a major and sometimes they minor in related things or something completely different, depends on their interests and what they want to do I suppose.

my first dentist was really old, and after I wen to a new one he kept I learned he missed cavities I had AND he didn't do a bunch of procedures that are standard and stuff, then the new dentist was kind of a creep who talked about politics and yeah... plus he messed up my dads teeth and wanted him to pay to fix it.

she really did!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-06-22 11:05:38 +0000 UTC]

I see~ Are minors important though? They sound pretty
minor...

Aww, so the first one was fine but perhaps he wanted to
retire? Wow, how did you find out he missed many cavities
and didn't follow standards? I guess, it isn't that bad if he
just seems creepy but doesn't do creepy stuff and talks about
politics but messing up people's teeth > O < and he wanted
your dad to pay to fix up his mistake?!

For me, I just decided to trust my dentist because he is a
professional in his field. I never realised their were incompetent
professionals out there ; O ; ); I feel really grateful since my
dentist is kind and funny and gets the job done properly!

Are you in Uni or do you have a job? I know you sell those cute
lil' toys but is that all?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-08-03 23:53:43 +0000 UTC]

I don't think they are too important~

some people just get old I guess and don't pay as much attention, he was quite old. I need to find a kind and funny dentist of my own D:

I was taking art classes but recently just been making toys~ would love to go to a good uni but man are they expensive D: too expensive.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-08-05 11:11:23 +0000 UTC]

So you can also choose not to do them?

Ooh, that might be difficult~ Perhaps you have uni friends who are
learning to be dentists?

Which materials do you make your toys from? Some like the galactic
kingfisher are relatively smooth while in the bunnies and bull terrier,
a texture is more visible.

I know what you mean. Where I live, they made a new thing where
starting from my generation (I think) ridiculously unaffordable to
compensate for earning back money lost elsewhere! ; O ;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wolvesrevolution In reply to RoseRin [2015-08-15 21:18:58 +0000 UTC]

yeah, you can choose The textures are more vizible on some things because I paint on top of the plastic, while the kingfisher is cast in a mold, and the plastic is dyed so I don't have to paint it, much easier and it comes out nice and smooth.

yeah man, the system needs to change, people want to learn but can't aford to, and a lot of jobs won't hire you unless you have gone to university, even if its in an unrelated field, totally messed up.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RoseRin In reply to wolvesrevolution [2015-08-17 11:06:47 +0000 UTC]

I see~ Is it for a certain effect like cute and fuzzy or just
how it is?

They are jeopardising the potential of the people which in
turn is not beneficial for the country either... I know plenty
of people who have so much potential but costs for education
are not looking good for their future... - M -) If they need the
money to come back into their pockets, there are other methods.
