This is so good. It's saturated to no end, and it's just a little bit of sun against the cables and the clouds.
How you titled it John also makes me think of Elephant, because of the yellow shirt he wears.

very good cropping, very good border.

In all, I really like this.

It is a profound picture, but not at all tiresome. I think anything with a beetle is straight out of "boring" list. It has such character, and I think you used it well. The angle captures the setting and the scenery like a painting. It also has a commercial feeling to it, since the beetle is such an icon in pop culture.

The sky looks intense, ive never seen it portrayed like that before, such a wicked photograph, got to love beetles, never seen one as yellow as that, also whilst im here your gallery is very inspirational aswell

Thank you. I thought there was only one yellow beatle in the town, but then I realised I'd been confusing them: one was a deeper yellow and the other was a lighter and brighter yellow... so I guess they all come in varied colors. That and custom-made additions or modifications.

Great crop on it, I really like how the car isn't shown in full. The power lines also break up the big sky, very nice.
