Hi there i find this technique very interesting and was wanting to try it out myself, how do you achieve these effects? I dont know what the process is called or if theres even a name for it? If you have any tips it would be much appreciated. Love your work by the way. Thanks

This is such a nice piece.  I love the feel of flowing water color colors so prevalent as I viewed in you gallery.

Thank you so much. They are actually fluid acrylics but I was originally a water colourist so I guess the feel is similar. 😉

I started to fool around with these acrylic inks, but don't seem to be getting very far.
If I may ask, do you use water color paper or something special to paint on?

I use yupo paper, acrylics the consistency of thin cream with inks mixed in. Watercolour paper buckles too much for this process and you can stick yupo to a panel when dry or even paint on gessoed panel or canvas board. I prefer a very smooth slightly slippery surface. Hope this helps 😃

Thanks for the tip.  I've not heard of that particular paper, but I see that Blick Art Materials stocks it, so I'll have to get some.   I'm sure this will be of help, and thank you once again.
