Description

Hello everyone !

My boyfriend and I haven't travelled for more than a year, it is a bit long

but hey, money does not grow on trees... Though we have the project to go to Athens

with my mum later in 2020 or maybe at the beginning of 2021...

I would make my bf discover Greece, this amazing country with beautiful people... Crossing fingers !

In the meantime, I wanted to post some images taken during the last trip my bf and I did, in London

during the autumn 2018. Elizabeth Tower was almost entirely covered in scaffolding and Big Ben didn't ring

as repair work continued on the iconic tower but London has so much to offer that we simply passed

by and went to other interesting locations of the ever-changing environment of the United Kingdom metropolis...

This magnificent tiara has been designed by Prince Albert in 1845 for his spouse, Queen Victoria.

Victoria was so enchanted she wrote about it in her journal, praising her husband's "wonderful taste".

The tiara was part of a parure also comprising a brooch, earrings and a necklace.

With its 19 pear-shaped Colombian emeralds and its diamonds, the tiara was a gift that Victoria

did not hesitate to wear on many occasions, including a state visit in France in 1855.

It appears on several paintings (individual and family portraits).

Princess Louise, one of Victoria's granddaughters and duchess of Fife, inherited the parure.

Today it is on loan at the Victoria Exposed exhibition at Kensington Palace.
