Oh wow, this truly has to be one of my favorite drawings you've done thus far (okay Bear Bear is my favorite but you know. haha)
The anatomy is so good on this one, I especially just love the way you did the face - Its truly spot on anatomy wise! The nose is also very cute. <3 The soft blue shading also really helps the white stand out so nicely, and I really love the background! I also have to compliment you on the paws, they are very bear like! If I could point out one thing it would only be I wish the paws had a little more detail to them to help the toes not look altogether (if that makes sense).
All in all, this is truly so well done and I mean really well done!

Thank you so much!! Β I had never drawn a panda before so was at a loss at first, but it turned out! I think I am slowly improving on shading, and I used your suggestion on using dark grey instead of black for the lighter 'black' parts! Β I was not quite sure how to do the paws, because in the many reference pictures the individual toes are not very distinguishable from one another all the time, so I wasn't sure how to do it--I tried to go for an in-between look. But yeah, I'm not too crazy about how the paws turned out.Β
I am working on a grumpy looking owl next!Β

I really like the shading on this one a lot, especially on the darker parts (I hope the darker gray worked out better since I can really see more depth to the darker colors). Hm. I do understand what you mean about real bearΒ paws not having much definition to them, little pencil lines (like with this use a black colored pencil) and do just small little lines between the toes or where the toes would be? If that makes sense. I personally love the paws though, and they actually have a very bear shape over a canine one! So really nice job with that, and overall with this whole image, it looks so wonderfully done!

Yes, that is a good suggestion with the pencil lines for the toes--next time I draw a bear I will try doing that! And yes, using the darker grey did work out really well!

Ohh, the panda looks so happy! The shading here is really great, it's very subtle and helps it all come to life. I love the nose detail. Did the bamboo all take a while?

He is happy since he is full of bamboo!! Β Yeah, the bamboo took quite a while, especially since I had to learn how to draw it and layer the multiple stalks! I kind of like how it came out though.
