Well the movie-going public seems to have dodged a minor bullet with this series... the good news is the production company has decided not to make the last 2 movies in 3D. The bad news is, they've decided to make the last 2 movies.

I agree on the originality rating... they can't all be winners of course, particularly when trying to fit into the constraints of a theme like this... I had to come up with some reason for avoiding doing the film in 3D and Edward being a walking disco-ball, while not a new joke, was the reason why Twilight even made it into the 3D Don'ts series at all... The back and forth between the guys in the audience was really just to keep with the formula of the series and because I was too lazy to make them girls in this one.
I can understand the confusion if you're not very familiar with Twilight. And honestly the lights on the wall in the background aren't actually created by a disco ball. The disco generally has a separate set of lights to create that effect, so it's technically incorrect anyway, but was done that way for the joke.
I've got a couple other 3D Don'ts lined up that will be more original (I think anyway), but that I'm struggling with figuring out how to execute.

Yeah, after I submitted my critique, I looked again and glanced at some comments...and then I understood the disco lights thing. I actually have never heard that one before,and in retrospect I think it was kinda clever. You also have a point in the sense that there is only so much you can do with a series like this...especially at this point.
lol if you want any suggestions for future installments in this series,I might be able to assist (granted I know about the series/fandom you will be portraying).

Right now the two I'm struggling most with figuring out how to draw are Step Up and the Justin Bieber Story, both of which have actually been filmed in 3D.

as much much as it pains me to say this the Twilight films aren't total crap. Underneath the thinly veiled 'Fab-U-Lust' sparkles there actually is an interesting story of two families engaged in a Hatfield v. McCoys style rivalry. That being said the first two books made me feel like my eyes were about to hemmorage and explode while I attempted to wade through the trite called Stephanie Meyer's writing. The first twilight book was the only book i've ever thrown across the room in utter disgust.
All that aside, I enjoyed this strip.

I haven't actually seen the films front-to-back... Tiffany waded through a bunch of it on YouTube(?) to try and figure out what everyone was on about, and I saw several scenes while she was doing that... and neither of us saw what people were gagaing over... and haven't read the books either obviously... my ex wife is a huge fan -- that may leave me a bit biased.

i tried, legitimately tried to give the books a chance and thought what the heck since i work at a library to just pull it and read a couple pages to understand why teenage girls are getting into slap fights over it and OMG @____@ the writing is HORRIBLE. It's complete and total crap. Board books for infants have less noun/verb confusion

I'd been thinking about doing one for a while on the bedroom scene where Bella wakes up to discover Edward smelling her... someone else did one where they showed that and he was also masturbating... I was thinking about having her say something like "umm... dude, restraining order?" and then have a more traditional vampire show up behind Edward and say "hey, are you gonna eat that?"
But yeah, this particular strip was mostly about the attempt to make glitter somehow anxty.
