My inner me is not my enemyWon't pretend to be what I fear my friends believe
I walk my path while you sit reminiscing
When I don't fit in, I'm not that peace you're missing
To be mistaken is only your fault when you don't explain your sight
but when you take the time to explain your mind, there's nothing left to hide
To help you read my thoughts, I'll work on my writing
When I move too fast the words seem to start sliding
merging into big ideas that no one seems to get
But I know that just means someone hasn't heard them yet
What good is a thought if only you think it?
I'll share a glass of my mind and see who's willing to drink it
Don't let a dark soul try to hide you in its shadows
Don't let it get a hold on you, to fight unneeded battles
When you fear the truth, it seems like you don't care
If you can't hear me, how will you know that I'm there?
A moment is lost while you sit in the dark
I live off my own light and when I write there's a spark
Work without sight will lead you astray
Work through the night and aim for the day
Open your eyes to let light in
Open your mouth to show you're enlightened
When I thought you'd given up and felt that I'd failed
I heard my name in your breath as you inhaled
I feel that those who've hurt me are worth being forgiven
and I hope you can benefit from the words that I've written
It's good to be missed when you've done something right
When your flame goes out, will they remember your light?

Through that storm of ideas, these phrases really stuck out to me:

I don't know, I guess those lines sparked sudden realizations and reflections, and well, as bad as this may sound, I guess I fall under the category of busy-bodies that go about their daily businesses without giving much thought to anything besides the tasks at hand and whatever else needs to be done. Well, it's probably better to leave it at that before you start reading about a random person's ramblings. Anyways, thanks, eventhough you probably have no idea what for and all, but thanks anyways.
