Good observation; however, that is only one interpretation.
After the Huntsman tells Snow White that she could leave, the text flows into the action of killing the boar and of delivering the ‘goods’ to the queen. After that, the text states that Snow White ‘was petrified and [didn’t] know what to do.’ She may have been too scared to run into the woods until after the huntsman stabbed the boar. And remember, the huntsman told Snow White that she could leave, the text doesn’t say that she actually left when he told her to.
I liked how ambiguous this section of the story was, so I decided to illustrate Snow White witnessing the stabbing before running away. (^_^)
