The Coldblasts origins are unknown, with the first recorded individuals being found in the roost of a Bewilderbeast. This dragon is incredibly resistant to extreme temperatures, being able to grudgingly tolerate temperatures above 100 degrees Farenheit, and positively thriving in temperatures below 32 degrees Farenheit. This dragon is also well known for its speed and stamina, being able to maintain a running speed of 500 miles per hour over extended periods of time. This dragons main weakness is flight: the Coldblasts wings are strong enough to allow it to fly, but it's not very fast or agile. The Coldblasts main role in a given Bewilderbeasts flock is to scout for food (mainly fish, though other animals such as polar bears and seals are killed and brought back to the nest) and for enemy flocks or armadas. This dragon curiously lacks armor- instead its primary defense is running circles around its opponents and freezing them with its liquid nitrogen blasts... or paralysing them with its stinger. This dragon is also known to use its awkwardly long limbs to clamber and leap around in ways that make this dragon seem to be unnatural. This combined with its almost supernatural reflexes and lack of a blind spot make directly fighting this dragon hell for any dragon hunter who tries. Luckily, the Coldblast can in rare circumstances be trained... if you have sufficient quantities of eel on hand. The precise reason for this dragons eelpox resistance are as yet unknown, and a current topic of research in the Berk Dragon Academys Icestorm Island outpost.
