Practice Poem - Artistic Frustration:Wrong, wrong, wrong, WRONG!
Everything is wrong.
'As then sun dew drips from her eyes'-
Do I really think that'll be good enough?
Hours spent on each piece -
Punctuated only by sound of ripping paper -
To lie crumpled upon my wooden floor,
Unable to be forgotten.
As the hours pass and the day wears on,
More and more worlds are crushed by my hands.
Realities sprawled upon a single piece of paper,
To die as quickly as they are formed.
A man's whose romance is torn in two,
A vampire about to meet his prey.
A werewolf standing against an army
And a boy facing the world alone.
These are the lives that I hold in my hand;
Fictional lives, but precious still.
Yet as soon as I see their imperfections,
I destroy the evidence in a throe of shame.
These crumpled masses that now surround me,
They aren't the proof of perfection's pursuit...
They are merely my feeble, worthless attempts,
To disguise my own ineptitude.

I love this. I try to write stories, but they end up as trash in the end. I also love the description. It seemed just as much poetry as the actually Poem was. I understand what you mean, and I feel so happy to get to read your poems. I thought that the real artists, the incredible poets, amazing painters and fascinating sculpters, were just people you learn about in history class from half a decade ago. But now I realize that we're not out of true artists, because you are here, and I think there are more like you out there somewhere.

As a fellow poet and writer, this speaks to my heart: the frustration and dissatisfaction with the imperfections you find in your work. We are our own worst critics, throwing away trash that to the world, may be as diamonds in the trough. I'm one of those deviants that has the ideas to flourish in the galleries, but lack the confidence ans self-mercy to be content with what I write and draw. Thank you for putting these emotions into such a beautiful presentation! Good job, Captain!

Trust me, I edited me book so many times cause I wasn't satisfied with certain scenes etc. It's a hellish process, but one that ensures our audience will be satisfied ^^

The description is very mysterious and foreboding, I like it! It gives me this Lord of the Rings feel mixed with...something else. I'm sure I'll remember the series later, but either way, you definitely draw in the reader with your description. And the poetry flows very nicely! Nice job!

Poem: aahh soo relatable! except only I don't write, I draw
I cant even begin to count the number of pieces of paper I throw away just because one line doesn't come out perfect
Artist comment: "In a world that appears to be bi-polar, screaming for control and freedom at the same time; is there not a way that both of these things can be achieved?" THIS is going in my journal.

So very true and what most likely many deviants have felt at times.
The shooting was a very tragic event, and your view of it reminds me of Lord of the Flies by William Golding

As to the content:

Salvador Dali
All things are at once perfect and imperfect.
Every poem is perfectly what it is.
Process is what counts for the artist IMO, not product.
Personally I think the poem is entirely successful in that it touched me and reminded me of my own endeavors.
