This applies to the entire political spectrum, but for me personally, I have a few conservative relatives and friends who have a tendency to derail the conversation right from the start by posting political Red Herrings on posts that have absolutely nothing to do with politics.

i.e. I shared a video on FB from a polio patient still using the antique iron lungs, mentioning how I think AVers need to see it...And a relative decided to leave a comment trying to relate it with illegal immigration. (Me: "That has nothing to do with this topic and it's a political Red Herring, but okay. ")

I love you, but CAN YOU NOT DO THAT??? I KNOW YOUR POLITICAL STANCE. I HONESTLY DGAF THOUGH AND CAN YOU NOT BRING ANY OF IT UP ON UNRELATED POSTS??? I swear, I will block you if you start doing that, family or not. Because it's fucking annoying.

Tbh, I'm kinda glad I'm disconnected from the news outlets here...Very bliss~
