Update 11-9-2012: Less than a month left, but still plenty of time for anyone wanting to participate. For those worried about the contest being canceled for lack of entries, fear not for we have seven (7) awesome entries so far and I am loving the turn out.
About a week ago I posted a poll asking what you all wanted the next theme of our contest to be and you chose….STEAMPUNK!!!
Gadgets and gears, brass and wood, Victorian clothes and jetpacks. Is a steam powered Moya in the near future? I think so, but all this heat can’t be good for dear old Scorpy. So pick your character(s), scrub them down and give them a good old fashioned steampunk makeover.

Meh, I was a bit intimidated, TBH. I didn't know how to put it into writing since I'm not exactly a steampunk expert.

I know what you mean. I love the genre and the look, but when ever I try to draw it I get stumped. I imagine it would have been alot harder to write fanfiction with it as well, which was why I decided not to include it this time round.

Farscape is an awesome sci-fi show (that is no longer on the air unfortunetly) revolving around an austronaut who gets sucked into a wormhole. If you have a subscription to Netflix, you can watch the series or you can find several clips on Youtube. There is also a link under references to a site called Farscape Caps that has screenshots of all the episodes and the Peacekeeper Wars movie.
Even if you decide not to join, it is definately worth giving the show a watch.
