Description
This is a picture of spyro as the new chronicler reuniting with Cynder after years apart when Spyro sacrificed himself to save the dragon race from extinction by a villain that wanted to kill all dragons. His death caused cynder to suffer greatly and a broken heart, she lost someone who was there for her when she was corrupted by the darkness from malefor and when she was outcasted by society for a while. When Cynder was called by the chronicler who she thinks its ignitus to come over to the white isles. She never expected to be reunited with his mate of hundreds of years who she realized is the new chronicler.

Cynder was sitting on the Leviathan. The large sea creature was taking her to the white isles. She received a message from a message that bore the name the chronicler. He asked Cynder to come over the white isles as he wanted to reveal something. Cynder though it was ignitus.

She wondered what ignitus wanted with her, she hasn't talked to him in a long time. Ever since she lost her mate...Spyro.

The thought of her mate started to make her heart burst. She felt tears coming down her face. She missed her purple dragon, the one who helped rescue her from the corruption malefor imposed on her. Who helped filled a large hole in her heart, and now he's gone.

She remembered what happened. Years ago, a Spyro and Cynder fought with a evil creature named zorios tried to cause the dragon race to go extinct. The creature had managed access to an ancient power that can control life on the planet, which he managed to activate

With no time to stop the machine. Spyro used all his powers to try and reverse the effects of the ancient relic. The effect brought back the dragons who died from the effects of the power. But it also caused unintended effects, it caused changes to the world. Many dragons that disappeared came back. New lands and life appeared and it brought back balance to the light and darkness. The last thing that happened is Malefor was cleansed of the darkness that caused him to be evil. He was locked in the Crystal that was his prison since Spyro defeated him hundreds of years ago. when he was free. He became a bit younger and no longer evil.

But it came at a cost. Spyro had to give up his life so he can stop the relic and reverse it. He knew it but if he can save everyone and stop the power. Then it was worth it. When it was finished, Spyro floated down and laid on its side. Cynder though he was exhausted, but he never woke up when she tried to wake him.

She remembered she was screaming in anguish trying to wake him up. She begged him to don't leave her and tried to resuscitate him. But it all came in vain. Spyro never opened his eye, the purple dragon, the one who defeated malefor, the purple savour and her mate... was gone.

She laid on his body with her arms around him crying. Spyro had a smile on his face like he died peacefully.

Many of his old friends were effected. The guardians were shocked that Spyro had died. Terrador Cyril and Volteer couldn't believe would be that so selfless so he could save the dragon race, Flame felt mad that he couldn't do anything to save him and ember cried that he is gone.

But Cynder was the most devastated. She locked herself in her room for days and laid on her bed crying that her mate was gone. She couldn't live without him.

What was more heartbreaking was telling her children that their dad is gone. She and Spyro had three clutches of eggs which she hatched 8 dragonets. Her two oldest children were twins a son and daughter while her two youngest hatched a few months before his death.

While she told her two eldest twins that her dad has died since they are old enough to know. She had to wait a few days to tell her four young children in a way to not traumatize them that their dad has died and has joined his ancestors. The kids asked if when he'll come back, she explained to them about death.

The kids felt said their dad won't be here and they cried with her.

Her two baby hatchlings didn't understand about death. Cynder sleep with her two baby hatchlings telling them their mommy is here and she'll be there for them. Her children sleep with her to get through the pain.

Before the funeral. Spyros body was lying in state for days with guards guarding him in each corner with their heads bowed. Many people would come to the temple to pay their respects for the purple dragon who did so much for them without any favours. The guardians, sparks grandchildren, and hunters ancestors who's their grandfather have known Spyro as an old friend.

Cynder was the only one who could come up close to his body without issues. She would come and see him at night, she would cry and remember the moments she had with him. She had her head on his chest and nuzzled him.

When the funeral came. She and her children came. Her children saw their father lying there with a smile, the kids nuzzled his body to say their goodbyes. Cynder's baby hatchlings saw their father, and babble a bit. Trying to reach their father. Cynder allowed them to touch their father so they can have one last moment with their dad. When Cynder said goodbye she nuzzled her mate and kissed him for the last time.

When the funeral was over. The body dissolved into energy into the world, Binding it.

It took Cynder a while to recover. She worked hard to look after her kids and became overprotective of them. She suffered from depression and became isolated from her friends. Her friend and the guardians did what they could to help her get through, but Spyros death had begun to be too much for her

Her worst moment was when she tried to commit suicide because the grief was too much for her. But something made her not go along with it she felt Spyros presence and she heard what looked like his voice telling her to not do it to not leave the kids as orphans. This made her realised what she realised she could have done. Ember managed to save her and got her help. Her friends and the guardians became more involved, helping her look after her kids and get her help. After a while, she managed to recover from her heartbreak. and managed to no longer be overwhelmed from Spyros death.

Cynder became teacher at the temple with the young dragons. She was very liked by the dragons for her motherly care making sure the young dragons can succeed.

Cynder decided to become a single mom. Since she feels Spyro can't be replaced. Her friends help her look after the kids.

Cynder misses Spyro but overcomes it by remembering the good times they had.

Malefor arrived a while after the funeral. It caused panic, that Malefor has returned. But he managed to show and prove that he has reformed. Malefor now works at the temples to look after the young dragons and to protect the realms to redeem his image.

The guardians became senior guardians and are training the next guardians to take over and succeed them. Dragons that returned came to fill empty guardian roles that were gone due to the dragon war.

Now Cynder is heading to the white isles to see the chronicler.

Cynder looks and sees the white isles. She sees it was close. So she was able to fly the rest of the way.

She looked at the Leviathan "Thank you. I can fly the rest for the way" The creature made a sound in response.

The dragoness jumped up and flew to the white isles.

A while she arrived at the entrance to the celestial cave, where the chronicler lives.

She looks at the door to his home. She wondered how Ignitus is feeling at the moment. How he was handling his son's death. She never heard from him since Spyro died. She wondered what happened to him.

The temple doors opened by itself, Cynder walks in. She went down the hallways to find where ignitus might be. Soon she finds the room where the hourglass is.

She enters and walks to the hourglass looking at the blue light from it. She decided to sit around and wait for him to come

She remembered the moment she and Spyro fought to save the world when they were teens. Oh how she wished she could continue those days.

Cynder head went down and cried tears out of her eyes. "Oh Spyro... I Miss you."

Then a soft voice came out. "I'm here Cynder"

Cynder looked up. What she heard wasn't Ignitus voice. Her eyes widened.

She around and saw a blue dragon behind her at the entrance to the room. He had the chroniclers objects and clothing on him. Her walked up to her and stood in front of her.

She looked at the blue dragon closer and realised something. While the chroniclers eyes were blue, it had a glint that only one she knew had, and he resembled someone that no one could replicate.

"Spyro?" She croaked

The blue dragon then displayed a smile. "Hi cyn"

She gasped her mate gave her that pet name. It was Spyro! She wrapped her arms around Spyro and cried with a mixture of sadness and joy. Her mate was here, really here.

Spyro clasped her in return. He was glad to reunite with her. The male let her hug her while crying into his chest. They separated after a long embrace. Cynder we still producing tears.

"Spyro.... are you?" She asked.

"Yes...I'm the new chronicler" Spyro said.

"So that means Ignitus?..." she choked

Spyro nodded "Once I died. I started a new age. And because of that, a worthy dragon will be the New chronicler to oversee that new age. My Dad was the one who picked me. He's now with the spirits"

"Does that mean you won't see Ignitus again?" Cynder asked

Spyro shook his head "past chroniclers can come and offer advice and help the current chronicler when needed. I can also visit the spirits. So dad still comes and visits me occasionally"

Cynder produces fresh tears happy that her mate is here and she can see him.

"How's our Children?" He asked

"They are doing fine. They miss you" she said.

"It's ok Cynder, Next time you see me. They can come and visit" he said in a caring manner.

Cynder nuzzled her mate under her neck. "I missed you Spyro"

Spyro felt her rub under his head. "I missed you too Cynder"

Cynder sniffled. He was back, her Spyro is back. Spyro put his arm around her neck and nuzzled her face. She cries with a tear, she was reunited with her mate.

They sit down in a loving embrace, the couple wanting to spend all the time together wanting to catch up on years they spent apart.

Fate had separated them for years. But time has managed to bring them back together.
