Description
This is the Broodmare, even though she's not really a horse. All the darkly coloured bits of carapace- as well as the yellow- aren't actually part of her body, but rather her modified pupa shell. Her true body is all the green bits. When in danger, she tucks her whole body into the shell like a snail, with the face cover sealing the way in. She lays only one egg at a time, but is fiercely protective of it nevertheless.
