Description A guest star in Poznan Armament Museum, the M29 Weasel tracked carrier belongs to the GRH Green Light, which reenacts the US 82nd Airborne Division during the Second World War.

Weasel was designed to move in difficult terrain, inaccessible for other vehicles (its designer, Geoffrey Pyke - you might know him for his ice-based material pykrete and a proposal to build an aircraft carrier out if it - wanted the vehicle to be used against German forces in Norway, to stop the German nuclear programe). The vehicle's weight was kept at minimum (~1,7 t) so as to be able to ferry it by plane if neccessary. It was fitted with very wide tracks (510 mm each) and a light suspension, limiting the ground pressure. In one incident, a group of Weasels entered a minefield by accident, but none of the anti-tank mines detonated, because Weasels' ground pressure was too low for their fuses.

They were never used in their original role, but the M29s were fielded in Western Europe after D-Day as normal tracked carriers, ferrying troops and supplies over the most difficult terrains, which halted other vehicles.
