The kit
This little fella comes from the First to Fight (a.k.a Wrzesien 1939) collection. The series, launched in November 2013, produces 1/72 scale miniatures of Polish and German equipment from the September Campaign period, including such gems as the TKS tankettes, wz. 34 armoured cars, recently released 7TP light tank, or the Renault FT seen here. As a matter of fact, two Renaults were released, one with plated turret and machine gun (the one here), and one with cast turret and 37 mm gun.

The kit is a simple one, as the tank is primarily ment for wargaming. It does need glue to be assembled, unlike Zvezda's 1/100 scale snap kits, The whole suspension and tracks are cast as one piece, which is somewhat problematic to paint, to be honest, but does look nicely. However, the two "horns" holding the front of the suspension, as well as the trench tail, are very fragile, and can be damaged easily during the assembly, so pay attention to those elements.

While the kit is ment to represent a Polish Renault from the September 1939 period, I've decided to make the "random French" version, using spare decals from the RPM kit I bought some time ago and still haven't finished (it's fragile as f*ck and difficult to make). I'm not sure if the "Japanese camouflage" (large green and brown spots separated with black lines) was already used in World War I, but if not, then they surely were in the interwar period.

Can I recommend this kit? Yes, if you look for some simple, but accurate and detailed representation of one of the most revolutionary tank designes in history. No - if you want something more challenging to make or with detailed interior, since you would have to cut the hull and turret open, and that can be more than difficult, having in mind the soft plastic the model is made of. Also, there are no decals in the kit, so you better have some spares prepared. But overall, I give this model a 8/10 grade.

Very nice models. HaT also makes a nice FT-17. The last picture reminds me of the old Matchbox combo kit, of which I have several, currently available from Revell Germany.

What is the name of the big tank in the last picture?
I've already saw it and I'm sure it was French.
