that was a lot of work X___x I made this for my Luffy β Strong World Cosplay at the Connichi 2011 (Cosplay can be found >>here<< :3)I worked over 3 month, every weekend on it, while working 45-50 hours a week at my job X____x I was totally beaten after that XD but I still think it was worth the effort :3 I still love it
I put so much work and money in it ^^' I just HAVE to love it XDI made it from styrofoam (is that the right word for it in english? well that light, white stuff you use for insulation XD)
It really was hard for me to make it, cuz this was the first time ever I made something like that ^^' I guess I overcharged myself a bit for a first time, but somehow it worked out at the end, and I've learned a lot in the process :3

well, i used "efaplast"β¦ don't know how it would be caled in english. Its some kind of light synthetic clay or something like thatβ¦
some parts are styrofoam. And I used the handle of an old brush ^^' I was quite creative with the things I had lying araound XD

Hmm, efaplast looks similar to the types of polyclay I use for my smaller projects. Styrofoam is really good to make props out of, just hard to use when it starts crumbling on you *frowns*. I've been building my props out of instillation foam boards, still lightweight, but more durable in my opinion. That, and I have a few large sheets of it laying around. And Thank You!Β

well it was my first time as well, it was tough to figure out how to do everything but somehow it worked out. I was very strict with my work too, so it was really hard ^^' well I actually can't tell much more then I already wrote on the top. It's made from styrofoam and "efaplast". I used papermache as a coating and acryl paint over it⦠I recommend a styrofoam cutter. It helps a lot. You can find construction manuals all over the net.
