this is a good artwork. I wouldn't have given it a daily deviation thing myself (hell, i couldnt if i wanted to) but it's still nice and simplistic which is a good change from all this 3d abstract shit.

Well I was unsure about your daily deviation, whether you were someone just starting out and this was an amateur work...
But I think it has to be viewed in context with the REST of your work, then one understands that this is the result of an original STYLE which you have developed, therefore worthy of recognition.
The mixtury of folksy, naive, popular art with bold colours, lines etc...

i was just thinking the other day about whether or not the moderators or whomever is incharge of daily deviantions would actually chose a piece that is not emphasizing technical merit or skill. i know you have a million comments because of of the controvery of the selection, but i still feel like what i have to say is important. before i made a judgement on this painting i decided to look through your gallery to see if this was a purposeful choice or an upper limit to your craftsmanship. conclusion: it was a choice. and then i decided to relook at "bee fairy" to see the challenge in creating it. i am not going to go through and read all the negative comments, but i'm sure half of them don't realize the difficulty in working with traditional media. to top it off, it's difficult to create an overall mood and atmosphere that resolves a work of art. half the best techincal artists on this site have very little emotive depth to their drawings other than facial expressions. "bee fairy" uses line quality and color in a simple direct way to capture feeling. besides, i bet you enjoy the controversy. i know i would. kudos. (and thanks for reading this)

Well, this piece is described to have wonderous gesture, but I'm in a little bit of disagreement with that. Don't get me wrong, I like the bold color, the simple facial style, and above everything else, the awesome brush strokes that make up her skirt. Great work with the legs, and the overall layout of the background really brings out the bright yellows above the rest of the piece. But the gesture...I just think it looks pretty rigid. The left arm looks a bit akward, bending back at a strange angle at the elbow. The other arm bends at a perfect right angle, and doesn't have a definite sense of weight to it.
Still overall, very catchy, and a very strong piece. Though it doesn't convey a muted urban feel of your other pieces (particularly your featured), this one's bright colors make this a worthy painting.

And I think lot of the people who write bad comments normally wouldn`t have done it, they just see that someone else has already said something, then they can be cool and say something bad too.....
