The Little Black Book
I had this idea in my head for a mere 1.5 weeks before I took the initiative to do it.
The whole concept of my original personal project:
-draw a person a day
-only to be done in pen ink, preferably blue
-freehand sketch no more than 15 minutes
-draw random people on the subway that is interesting, if too busy, a celebrity at home
-if for some reason, too busy/sick/forget to draw a person, it must be made up by the end of the week.
220 days later, it should be filled up.
First page of my book says:
The Dichotomy of Good and Evil.
Which came from a quote by Ragetti in Pirates of the Caribbean.
The book is a hardbound sketchbook that measures 4x6! Its small and portable, which I like.
Guess the people! Day 2 is a random guy on the subway though, the rest are celebrities.

Well its been more than a week, so I will reveal the people:
Day 1: Hugh Laurie as Dr. House
Day 2; Random guy from the subway, first real life victim
Day 3; Jared Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars
Day 4; Josh Holloway as James Sawyer Ford from Lost.
Day 5; Alexander Skarsgard as Eric Nortman from True Blood
Day 6; Apolo Anton Ohno from Team USA in Olympics 2010
Day 7; Naveen Andrews as Sayid Jarrah from Lost.

What I like about your sketches is that you don't go for hyper details I like the sketchy style used in biros. I draw with biros also. Please browse my folders. I like your work very much.
I started drawing with biros at work because that was all that was to hand. I like to blend more than one blue together for a touch more depth etc. I use only ball point pens not gell pens as the lines can run.

omg that is soo scary!! i'm doing almost the exact same thing!!
except whenever i get a chance, i do a whole page of drawing of one person straight in pen
in different shots etc, to build up my knowledge of people#s features etc
but atm they're so bad that i won't upload them, my aim is to get better over time
i got no problems on shading etc, but the initial lineart is what gets me XD
these are awesome so far! expecially love the jared one

i was doing them in ink pens before, but i think ima use biro instead cos i'm better at it
and i can do things lightly first, unlike with ink pens
