If there's something that I often like and feel it's a bit underappreciated, it's small waterfalls. As shown by the photo, they are especially charming in autumn when the leaves above and around make it feel like a part of the scenery. I think the charm of the place is captured really well, especially by the longer exposition.

Side note: Since it's obviously in my home region, I might as well go there myself at some point, thanks for a hike tip!

compositionally, overall this is quite good. The leaves and the rock in the foreground are a good lead in to the rest of the image, and and the dominant colors in the picture are complimentary. I think you might have been able to crop out the far right side of the frame a bit more, as there is little there of interest, and it would have removed some of the distracting blown out highlights in the top right.

it's a shame that most of the image is not sharp. It doesn't seem to be a result of poor focusing, which leads me to suspect that the tripod may have moved during the exposure. Also double check that any vibration reduction settings are turned off in the camera when taking a long exposure like this.

You know what? You got it right, I forgot to turn off the vibration reduction. The sharpness would have been better, but not much I think. The 10yo ultrazoom camera gives either not so sharp, or too noisy images. Small sensor is killing the image quality.

But thanks for the notes. Using the rule-of-thirds would make the composition definitely better and the far top right is quite distracting, too.

The water looks absolutely silky, you got the exposure just right! The color is also very rich, but not overpowering to the eyes. The focus is also pretty crisp as well. The only thing I could think to make this better would to crop some of the bottom of the photo out. It has a lot of empty space that can be left out. It would also lead to a slightly better rule-of-thirds composition. Awesome shot!

Beautiful photo! The shutter speed used makes the waterfall look almost like an oil painting. I love the perspective as well, draws you into the centre
